Reopening Phase #5
Dear Shirlee’s Fitness Club Members,
Thank you for your support and patience of our gym during the pandemic. When we issued Phase 4 re-opening a couple months ago, we said that we would re-evaluate by September 15 to see if we could make changes. Due to the rising cases of Delta variant of Covid, the CDC has issued guidelines recommending that all of our patrons continue to wear masks, maintain social distancing, and get vaccinated if they can. We understand that these restrictions are not ideal, and we appreciate your cooperation over the last year. While we wish we could return to normal, unfortunately, the new variant is highly contagious, and even people who have been vaccinated can get it. To protect the health of our members and employees, we will continue to keep the same club hours and the same safety precautions and policies in place until January 2022. By then, we hope to be in a better situation to open up more safely. As much we would like to go back to normal, your health and our employees’ health is our number one priority! We appreciate your understanding during the ongoing pandemic.

We will continue to offer a few online virtual classes and outdoor classes until further notice. Check our website www.Shirlees.com for the updated class schedule. We update our class schedule every two months. Due to the logistics of the pool safety requirements, pool classes is TBD. However, if you are interested in one on one water training program or personal training session, it is available for an additional charge. We must continue to practice social distancing and wear face masks indoors at all times. Mask is not required in the pool or at our outdoor fitness areas. We recommend that you consult your doctor prior to coming to the gym based on your health concerns.
The water fountain is not available at this time, so please bring your own drinks preferably in a sealed plastic container, but not in a glass container please! Bottle water and bottle water service is available for sale. No outside food is allowed at this time.
Phase 5 Reopening Plan
For pool appointments you must call us for availability. Pool time is limited to 1 hour.
For in-person classes, you can reserve a spot by calling or by using our Clubsystem My Member Portal app.
For general gym visits, we no longer require an appointment, but if you are coming the last hour before closing it is recommended that you make an appointment. You must be aware of the capacity limit of each room and maintain social distance as well as wear a mask indoors.
Temporary Hours are
M-F from 8 am-1 pm, 5 pm-9 pm.
Sat 8 am-1 pm.
Check in with your key tag prior to entering the gym.
If you are an early risers; please email email@example.com; we are working on a weekly schedule to cater to those who prefers to workout in the “sunrise” morning hours.
Please note that we will implement a No Show Policy; if you book a class session, pool appointment, or a PT session and you cannot make it and you did not cancel it, you are subject to a $10 fee or be charged for a session.
Guests are not allow to workout during Phase# 5 Reopening Plan. The gym is reserved for the members only. We will re-evaluate our policy and make any new changes again by January 2022.
Shower/ Sterile/ Sanitize Hands. We recommend that you shower at home and wear clean clothes prior to coming to the gym. Bring your face mask and wear it when you are in a common area. Always practice social distancing when necessary and sanitize and wash your hands often. This is a mindful habit to respect our members and employees, and to help prevent potential infection. Please do not bring in outside food at this time. We will provide you sanitation spray bottle and towels.
Pre-Health Screen- Cough/ Sniffles/ Fever/ Temp Check. Sanitize you hands prior to entering the gym. We will no longer take your temperature prior entering to the gym. If you find yourself coughing and sneezing excessively during your visit, we will ask you to go home and seek medical attention. Please be advised, if you don’t feel well, please don’t come to the gym, stay home and get better. Even though you may be fully vaccinated, you may have Covid and not know it!
Pick up towels and disinfectant spray in the designated area. You are required to clean all equipments prior and after usage including dumbbells, straps, balls or anything that you use to exercise with.
At the end of your visit, please dispose of towels and bottles in the designated area and sanitize your hands prior to exiting the gym.
These protocols are designed to protect our members and employees. We want to be sure that we did everything we can to provide you a clean, safe, healthy gym experience. It is hard to make these changes in this unprecedented time, but we feel that it’s better to be safe than sorry. Thank you for your support.

Lounge Chairs and Plastic Chairs will be available in the pool area. Please clean before and after usage. You may bring in your own beach towels, noodles, kick board, pool equipment; you must sanitize before entering the pool. There will be a sanitation station available in the pool area. The Sauna and the Jacuzzi will remain closed until further notice.
